What Prophecy is Not.

Moses before Pharoah, Jannes and Jambres

Prophecy is not divination.  Nor is it soothsaying or fortune telling.  I am not a fortune teller nor am I your source for a daily dose of “prophecy headline deciphering”.  All such things are sin; the vanity and lust of self interest and I will have no part in them whatsoever.  These are not the things of God.

If you find yourself coming to this website to gain knowledge of the future or to uncover hidden secrets or to reveal some occultic or esoteric knowledge then I would implore you to repent, you are seeking out divination and the Lord has explicitly forbid this type of activity.

“10 There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer11 or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead,12 for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord.” – Deuteronomy 18:10-12

“19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” – Galatians 5:19-21

But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” – Revelation 21:8

“and the light of a lamp

will shine in you no more,

and the voice of bridegroom and bride

will be heard in you no more,

for your merchants were the great ones of the earth,

and all nations were deceived by your sorcery.” – Revelation 18:23

The Scriptures are clear, divination or sorcery is sin and the Lord detest it.

Instead of seeking divination or sorcery there is a better way for you to gain wisdom and understanding.  In his epistle to the saints James tells us any wisdom we seek from God is freely given by his Spirit for those who have believed on Christ and been born again.

“5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” – James 1:5

If you want to know something, anything, ask God, he will speak to you.
